Technological Readiness
- USV technology has evolved beyond waypoints and remote control and Greenroom Robotics is at the helm of these advancements.
- The size and cost of sensors have reduced, yet their capabilities have magnified.
- Communication is no longer a bottleneck; it’s now both affordable and wide-reaching.
Societal Readiness
- Updated regulations provide a framework for safe implementation of autonomous systems in maritime operations, making it easier for our customers to confidently adopt these technologies.
- As robotics, autonomy, and AI find increasing applications across sectors, society’s acceptance and trust in these technologies have grown.
Capability Necessity
The evolving geopolitical landscape requires enhanced naval capabilities while minimising the maintenance, crewing, and operational burden. The Oracle Program delivers innovative solutions that optimise naval capabilities, leveraging advancements in robotics, autonomy, and AI to maximise resource utilisation for effective adaptation to evolving security challenges.
CONCEPT OVERVIEW
- /The program envisions a network of autonomous platforms and sensors, providing unparalleled situational awareness, both below and above the water’s surface.
- /The Oracle 24, baseline vessels, will be equipped for tasks like ASW (Anti Submarine Warfare), border and asset protection, and major fleet escort capabilities.
- /A significant advantage lies in its monitoring capability: a single operations team can oversee the entire fleet, whether from a global remote location or a host vessel.
"Maritime security in today's dynamic global landscape is of paramount importance. By partnering with Greenroom Robotics, we were able to harness the power of cutting-edge technology. Our program strives to revolutionise maritime operations, ensuring safer and more secure oceans. Through advanced solutions and strategic collaboration, we aim to pave the way for a future where technology plays a pivotal role in safeguarding our maritime environment."

Key Features of The Oracle Program
Australian Sovereignty
The program is a testament to Australian innovation, leveraging local manufacturing, IP, software, and implementation.
Scalability and Integration
The program values scaled autonomy and can incorporate data from various sensors or platforms. It is designed to complement existing and future capabilities, not replace them. This will be done using concepts such as common control systems, robust interfaces and collaboration programs.
Innovative Business Model
Adopting a “robotics as a service” model, the program allows capabilities to be leased, transferring the maintenance and crewing responsibilities away from Defence.
Economical and Job-Creating
The Oracle Program, delivered by Australian SMEs, offers a cost-effective solution compared to major contractors, creating jobs nationwide and tapping into existing technologies.
The Oracle 24 vessel will be a means to an end (the platform that will host the sensors and navigate autonomously to create the network), but it will be the initial vessels in the program before we start to integrate other sensors and platforms. It’s specifications are below:
Variant 1
Oracle 24m
- Length Overall: 24m
- Beam: 9m
- Cruising speed: ~12knots
- Range: ~6,000 nautical miles
- Fuel: ~18,000L
- Endurance: 21 to 58 days.
- Propulsion: Hybrid
- Air radar: TBD/In discussion/under NDA
- Surface watch: Combination of Radar, AIS and the Greenroom Robotics Lookout+ product.
- ASW/Counter UUV/Counter diver: TBD/In discussion/under NDA
Variant 2
Oracle 44m
- Length Overall: 44m
- Beam: 18m
- Cruising speed: ~12knots
- Range: ~12,000 nautical miles
- Fuel: ~37,500L
- Endurance: 21 to 72 days.
- Propulsion: Hybrid
- Air radar: TBD/In discussion/under NDA
- Surface watch: Combination of Radar, AIS and the Greenroom Robotics Lookout+ product.
- ASW/Counter UUV/Counter diver: TBD/In discussion/under NDA
The intent is that the sensors and platforms will feed a greater situational awareness and tactical picture, or facilitate mass data collection.
